do you have any more pictures I have an idea of what you have but would need more pictures ie. the back side of the fossil If this is indeed what I think it might be you have the 6th known 1 and a very rare fossil indeed you can send any pics you have to <email>

Almost looks like an egg. Or mybe a rare type of crinoid head?

Wellllll, what's the verdict Doc'? You have me hangin' in a little suspense here. Egg maybe. Even if it wasn't what You first thought it may have been what was it exactly that You thought it could have been??

Here is the other side of the fossil. I think it looks like the ball of a joint but really I don't have the foggiest. Any help appreciated!

I see why you think it could be a ball joint in the picture. It could also just be a quartzite or Chert rock though, some of them have strange shapes without being fossils.
