Description: Another fossil from ebay, i forget what species the dude said it was, so something for my friends here, in the auction he mentioned that originally both halves of the shell were there but when he picked up the first half it crumbled away in his hands, so only one half survives, still not sure why i got it but hey its a fossil and there all cool.

Description of ebay listing, 6.5" X 5.75", fossil Chesapecten madisonius shell from the Yorktown Formation, Lee Creek Mine. The shell has a few chips out of it, but I can't remember the last time I saw one this large. Sadly, the matching half crumbled when I picked it up. lifted this from the deleted items that i had received, so apparently Lee Creek, glad you like the shell and my shark teeth Ms Huntress. Smile
