Bison Horn- Pleistocene

As a new person here I feel a bit embarassed to mention my latest find today, 3-3-10. Laying on the surface I found a Bison horn that is fossilized and and even appears to be one from the left side of the head. It is in excellent condition.

Nice horn. I wonder how old it is? I know under the right conditions fossilization occurs rapidly, but it still is old. It may be a horn off a different creature with a similar horn too. Bisson do look a little prehistoric though!

And I don`t know why you would be embarrased about posting your find! That`s what we do here, and we like to see the unusual most of all. It doesn`t matter if you found it 10 years ago or yesterday. By posting pics and giving them an identification someone might actually learn something. Like me. If it weren`t for the books we have read, lessons learned in a classroom as well as in life experiences and tools such as this website where would we be? Sitting and looking at an unusaul rock and wondering what it is. That`s where. And we even throw in some humor now and then. So show us what you got!
