This was found in a dry creek bed where we also find many crinoid stems and geodes. There seems to be a smooth thin cover which is cracked. It looks like the end of a bone inside. My biologist friend thought it was a might be a joint from and animal. This picture is of the bottom of the fossil. The next post has the picture of the top side.

It is certainly a concretion, but whether or not it contains a fossil remains to be seen. Can you take a macro pic of the centre?

It does not contain a fossil, sorry. See those minerals? Those usually don't contain fossils, anywho, though fossils are not uncommon in those rocks. See what I'm saying? Anyway, that's what my friend, Traumador the T. rex told me. Again, sorry there is NO fossil in there.


Oh well...still a cool find.

i think thats a nadule there rocks that have to be cut in half, i acutally have a couple of them i just dont have the saw to cut them haha
