Hi all.

Found this lying on a pebble beach in south-west uk. I don't think it is from any shark species that are in UK waters today. I've not had much luck trawling the web trying to ID it myself, as I'm no expert on things like this! Just curious to know what species it came from.

Dimensions: 22mm across the widest point, 41mm long.

Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Ben

Definitely looks interesting, but I doubt it's a tooth. Sorry.

Is there any enamel on it at all, I thought I glimpsed some or a reflection maybe. Could be a very worn tooth, I have alot of broken teeth and some still have a little trace of enamel on surface. If not a tooth it could be fossil bone from something. It has that look So do not throw out.
