I don't remember ever seeing a charter or FAQ for this newsgroup. Do you think you could post it, and give us a little explanation where it came from?

Hi John: The last version I have 'kept' in my files dates to june of 99 (david let me know if I have the wrong one). I am forwarding that file / post to you under a separate header. The development and distribution was based on a fairly long discussion in 97/98 time frame when the NG was seeing a high noise to signal ratio. David kindly undertook the development and upkeep of the file, with the initial intention that we would be able to point to key arguments by section number in the FAQ (a practice which sounded great but I have yet to see a single person do).
