    A Bone that my sister found on the Missisipi river! Is it fossilized?? Surprised

    I can tell its bone becuase, I can see were there used to be blood flow and blood vessels

    Tyler in this pic it looks like the dorsal fin plate of a catfish.

    Is it? Its brown though. Normal bones are white, And my partner said it might be a pecarry bone. hmmm Surprised

    It may well be a fossil bone Tyler. Remember I just had the one photo and you have it in hand so please don`t hold me to that identification. And catfish have evolved into many different species and adapted to both salt and fresh water. They may well date back to prehistoric age. Sharks did it!
