Do you know if there were ever any flying reptiles that roamed the seas like modern seagulls?

A primative, toothed bird called Ichthyornis was probably a good candidate for 'seagull' status about 85 million years ago....... < http://www.oceansofkansas.com/hendersn.html >

All, Do not down load or execute the Happy99.exe program that attached itself to my last post.... Sorry for putting it on the newsgroup, but please don't spread it any further.... DELETE any message with the Happy99.exe attachment.... it rides around on your email and it's a pain to get rid of.......

The Miocene toothed bird osteodontornis might qualify, though it was bigger than modern seagulls. More pelican-sized, as I understand it.
