Only In Australia
A new dinosaurs related issue in Queensland. guess what? too many findings so the museums can’t keep up.
Dinosaur enthusiasts in the western Queensland town of Winton claim to have found enough potential dinosaur dig sites to keep them and the local museum staff busy until at least 2058. Cattle farmer, turned dinosaur fan David Elliott says there are thirty sites waiting to be excavated in the local area. Winton is rapidly becoming a hot spot for dinosaur finds in Eastern Australia. A number of important finds have already been documented and excavated from sites such as the nearby Lark Quarry (famous for its trace fossils of dinosaur footprints - the only record of a dinosaur stampede).I have a hunch that they might face the challenge of these findings by becoming a a scientific center, more research centers more academics from around the world that would love to examine the latest findings and more museums. This is one of the cases that can change the destiny of a place, lets hope it would be for the best for the local community as well as for the global community of palaeontologists.
