Can anyone tell me of any groups close to Worcester, MA, in either direction (E, W) that my sister, niece & I can join, maybe go on field trips with if they lead such? And can anyone tell me of *specific* fossil-hunting places around S. Had- ley that we can check out?? Thanks very much in advance!

See http://cgloss.topcities.com/Fossils/newark.htm for a list of fossil sites in the Conneticut Valley. There aren't many sites in Eastern Massacusetts. The few that do exist are close to Boston and Providence and have access problems. Someone once claimed to have found some plant fossils in the Worcester Slate. It might be worth checking it out at your local library.
