i am trying to find a copy of Mayr and Ashlocks 'Principles of Systematic Zoology'. I am using my schools library to send out an interlibrary loan request, but i need to know the publishers name, place, and the year it was published. Does anyone know this. I would of course prefer the newest edition. thankyuo for your time in advance.

I'm not going to tell you the answer, because finding publication info for a book you do not have is a valuable skill that you should acquire ASAP. Here's how to begin:

Look up the book in a library catalog. If your library does not own a copy, you'll have to use another library's catalog. Or just use one of the several good compendium catalogs. Ask your reference librarian how to do this.

Hi Rob, I'll skip the pedantic lecture (above). Good for you for using the Intenet. Best research tool I ever have found and I have been in research for 28 years. Your book (at least my copy is): Mayr, E. and P. D. Ashlock. 1991. Principles of systematic zoology. McGraw-Hill, New York

Joe, Good for you! Where does Miss Smith get the snotty attitude? When I ask a question I am looking for information, not a lecture by Miss know-it-all. If I want a lecture I will ask for one. I also have the above book. Rob, a good place to look for a copy is on Bibliofind.
