thats a great creek fossil!! nice shell ive never found one that was so narrow

Its the only one like that I found there. Mostly I find the Devils Toenails. I found this fragile crinoid stem close by.

wooo!!!! thats a little to large for crinoid there! it has to be and endoceras thats what they look like to! i was going to say that would be a record crinoid

That's a nice specimen! Microfossils are just as valuable as large fossils as they tell us what the ancient environment was like and how the flora and fauna interacted, so your should be pretty happy that you have even THAT much evidence.

I believe it is a crinoid because it has a hole in center of it. Endoceras don`t do they? The piece is 3/4 X 3/4 inches at its widest points. Another view here.
