Is there a trick to getting pictures easily? I take 10 pictures and am lucky if one shows what I see. Thank god for digital cameras. It would cost a fortune otherwise. What kind of holy rock is this?

I know what you mean Rick. I`m the same way here. Learning to use tools on photo program helps a lot also I`ve found. That way I can zoom and crop or enhance colors when needed.
I`m not sure what kind of trace fossils is contained in there but I see the same shape repeated quite a few times when I magnify picture. It looks like shell impressions from a bi-valve or something.
