This article was first published in the website forum but I felt it to be interesting enough to deserve a post on the blog. The writer is Ramin Amir Mardfar an Iranian scientist and reading his post it felt like hidden truth to me so with his permission I’ve copied it here.
From the earliest days that the big bones of past animals were found, some questions about their decline came up, which continued up to this day. By observing the fossils of giant dinosaurs, about several million years ago, this question comes up that, which factors caused them to decline?
Scientist has made many efforts to answer this question, and they suggested many theories in this case. Theories like the outbreak of diseases, decreasing food and eating of their eggs by other smaller mammals.
Among these theories, there is one theory which is of more acceptance for scientists and attracts the attention of more acceptance for scientists and attracts the attention of most people, this theory which came up by two American geologists from California’s university (Berkeley), Luis Alvarez and his son Walter at recent years of seventh decade, is about the collision of meteorite with earth. This theory says that: A rock with 10-15km diameter and about one thousand billion ton weight, with 150 thousand km/h entered earth’s atmosphere and friction of this giant rock on the air caused the sublimation of its outer layers. Four or five seconds later the big core of this big meteorite collided the surface of sea and made a big wave with height of 1km. This wave was distributed on the oceans and cover seashores. Collision of meteorite sent a mixture of steam and dust and stones on the earth. All of these stems, smokes and dusts made a big curtain on earth and for several months or perhaps years the earth was in an absolute dark. These events occurred about 65 million years ago and declined dinosaurs.
If the decline of animals was related to a special period, it was possible to rely on this theory, but as we knew, animals at every time, have lost some species. Perhaps, at one time, these declines were very much, but in any case, declines were existed at every periods of time. If we accept that the collision of a giant meteor it with earth and formation of dust and smoke in 65 million years ago caused the decline of dinosaurs, how we can explain of Endocras with 4.5m diameter, about 500 million years ago. At that time did a giant meteorite collide with earth and declined them? Did another meteorite collide with earth 330 million years ago and declined Eogyrinus? Did the collision of meteorite, about 250 million years ago caused big insects to decline? In this case how we can explain the decline of Lepidodendrales plant, Calamitales and giant tree ferns. Did they was destroyed when a big meteorite collide the earth 300 million years ago. The decline of Macropustion and big Diprotodon in Australia, and decline of the awful bird, Phorohacos, which had a head as big as a horse’s and length of 3/6m and big beak of 60cm, about 40 million years ago was because of the collision of meteorite? Did the decline of giant Dinornis maximus and Aepyornis maximus in these years was because of the collision of the big meteorite?
All of these shows that, such a theory can not explain declines animals during the long years. But there is another question, which shows the voidance of this theory! The question is that: assume that the big meteorite collide the earth 65 million years ago, and declined the big dinosaurs, why the remained reptiles couldn’t get bigger. The earliest reptiles, which were amphibious, were very small, but they could get bigger and made the dinosaurs. With the collision of didn’t meteorite, dinosaurs was destroyed, but some of small reptiles survived. Why they make bigger animals!
Then, it becomes clear that, the factor, which caused them to decline, is still remained and doesn’t allow big reptiles to get bigger.
So, the collision of the big meteorite with earth and the formation of dust and smoke in atmosphere can not be supposed as the factor of dinosaurs’ decline, because, that collision occurred at that time and the effect of dust and smoke have been disappeared and there was no later effect on animals.
Although the theory of the collision of the big meteorite and the formation of dust and smoke can not explain of the animals, but, at the same time, scientists hadn’t made a mistake by suggesting this theory, in fact they are close to reality. Because in fact, decline of animals is some how related to meteorites, but not in a way that Luis Alvarez and his son explain.
The theory of the increasing of the gravity says that the fall of meteorites in long periods of time caused the gradual increase of earth, and by increasing of the gravity the ability of blood system of these animals decreased gradually. So those animals which had weaker blood system become smaller or declined. For this reason, after decline of dinosaurs, other reptiles couldn’t get bigger, but small mammals which get stronger blood system were able to get their bodies bigger and made the big mammals of 20 million years ago. So, we see that, the scientists are not wrong, and they are right in thinking meteorites as an important factor in this phenomenon. But in the way of explaining and the quality of the extion of the meteorites, they are wrong. Scientists are looking for a big meteorite, which have been able to from such great dust and smoke on earth. But as we know it is not necessary to find a big meteorite, and small meteorites can also increase the gravity provided that their number is large.
People, who accept the theory of the collision of a big meteorite with earth, think that by revivaling the existing genes in the remained eggs of dinosaurs they can rebuild them, or by using the sperms of frozen Mammoth they can rebuild them. They think that the decline factor, which was the big meteorite, collided at the time and everything is finished, and they can form new giant animals. These scientist are unaware of the earth which they put their foots on it, and they don’t as far the gravity of earth is like the gravity this time, it is impossible to revival such giant animals. Perhaps this is possible in Moon, the gravity of which is 1/6 of that of the earth.

It is correct to say that the dinosaurs grew large because of a far smaller gravitational effect, but this is not due only to accretion from infalling materials, but due to the unrecognized fact that additional matter precipitates out of ether and does so at higher rates near the centers of higher gravitational fields. This is best explained these days by Neal Adams. Go to youtube and search for his videos. Therein lies the (best) answers to date.
if we increased the earths gravity it would crush us!
2 Quick points. First Point; as stated there was the Alvarez impact theory that reputedly ended the dinos. The other theory was that most impacts are really super volcanoes from forces from below. Geologist Dan Bridges has a difficult to find book on the subject, Our Expanding Earth: The Ultimate Cause. More available is The Great Dinosaur Extinction Controversy, by Officer and Page. Here the authors dispell the notion that the "exclusive" evidence for impact was "shocked quartz" and "Iridium". Turns out these both also come out of super volcanoes. Of note, that 1/4" Iridium layer that was found, sounds like it is rich and a lot. Turns out that 1/4" layer had an Iridium concentration of 9 parts per billion, while the background level around the earth is 2 parts per billion. I don’t see this as dramatically substantial.
Point 2, The range of gravity increase most earth expanders tend towards is about 60% of present 200 MYA and increasing slowly and continuously since then, at an ever increasing rate. Mardfar focuses broadly on blood and heart circulation systems, and makes the very, very interesting observation that increasing gravity can be seen in the effort and number of times a heart has to beat over a life time to compensate, particularly in massive animals. The centrifugal force of the earth’s rotation at the equator will yield a slightly lower pumping requirement than athigher latitudes, as an example. Therefore if large mammals become stressed by increased gravity (elephants, giraffes) they will tend to migrate towards the equator. Plot where Elephants and Giraffes are now found. Thanks.

Keith, thanks for some great points. I hadn’t thought of these things or heard of them before. I’m not overly impressed with the expanding or growing earth proponents in general, but I do think they are correct about the earth having gained substantially in mass, and that the larger dinosaurs could not have survived current gravitational and atmospheric conditions. As to the underlying causes of a growing earth, those may never be well understood, I only offered a new hypothesis based on my own notions of ether kinetics and precipitation of mass from ether being a natural process that accelerates near the centers of larger bodies. I maintain that modern physics is largely self sustaining myth that leads people away from the correct answers. That kind of thinking, of course, is not acceptable in the halls of science where supported by government grants, but I’m retired and have the time to think what I like.
While being no scientist myself as you gentlemen obviously are, I am interested in this earth of ours. I recently saw photos of a ship in the South Pacific which found itself in a sea covered in floating lava rock. An undersea volcano erupted spewing its black cloud. As they filmed an island rose from the sea and after subsequent eruptions increased its elevation. Do you have any idea of how much land mass could be added to the earth over the centuries and how it may affect the earths rotation and magnetic poles? Meteorites excluded. I cannot imagine being there to witness the event as these very lucky folks were. What a rush!
I don’t think man is ready to know more. We are making a mess of this planet because of greed, prestige, and power hunger now. We have a long way to go before we are capable of handling this knowledge. Our species take too many risks with things and doesn’t think of the long range future enough.
Good questions that may never have an answer. I’m far too moderate in my judgment as a scientist to be so acknowledged and also stained by a belief in God, but I’m just as curious and capable of speculation as anyone and not bound by the religiously naive. Personally, I believe that the earth’s rate of rotation and orbit have likely changed dramatically over time. If mass has also roughly doubled in the last 100 million years, the process that caused that will likely never be answered, but accretion seems most unlikely to most everyone. I bumped into the GE debate only because to me it was a strong rational inference that the precipitation of matter from ether was part of the great cosmic cycle and that there was never any Big Bang, that such a process also very conveniently straightens out the many serious logical gaps in modern theories. As a former soil scientist, I’m slightly more aware of the extent of volcanic ash in soils, and so find Keith’s explanation of iridium more appealing than the asteroid idea. A common theory also is that the moon was broken off from the earth by an early collision. That also is possible in my mind. So how does an idiot like me reconcile such notions with the Genesis "myth." Well, I take Genesis as a fact, not a myth, but a great deal of what seems to the result of blind cosmic process is driven by the hand of God. I’m also open to hits from fellow Christians by suggesting that the Bible is not literal, but the fact remains that the intended message is often not meant to be physically literal. For example, a snake is a beautiful and largely defenseless creature, the devil has not been trapped in the Boa’s body due to a sentence by God. Nevertheless, the devil is real and bears many similarities to the reptile. The Bible is fact, but interpretation is not easy, and you won’t find it preferable to the Handbook of Chemistry and Physics in the lab. Wandering a lot here, but that’s the joy of retirement! :)
In my mind it doesn’t really matter how the universe or the earth was formed. I do think it matters though if we start to respect this planet and ALL it’s forms of life. I see things in the pictures of the cosmic clouds that are on "Astronomy Picture of the Day" that makes me think that the presence of DNA or mineral combinations in clouds of dust is structured and assembles the particles in forms that have similarity to the life here on earth or in earths past. I do not know what the creater is, maybe just energy with a desire to be busy. I see similarities with the sayings and writings of our ancestors with the results of scientific studies of today. The results aren’t that far apart that we should even be spending billions to investigate them. All the money spent and destruction of our environment by our acquiring knowledge of outer space alone is astronomical. Ground based Telescopes are good enough. I am studying the communication among the members of a species and the communication possible between different species. There is definitely a communication between everything but we as humans refuse to believe it even though it is present in everything we do. Just because we don’t understand something doesn’t mean it is not there. Everything has a way of communicating but we aren’t smart enough to sense their language. This effect is not governed by language but by some other sort of communication whether it be of chemical or electrical origin. Some of us have premonitions and I think this is some sort of communication. The future is predicted by the past and it seems to cycle in a structured way. There is a lot to learn yet and I am going to keep studying, I get most of my information from the combined knowledge of all types of people, young and old, rich and poor, all who have their unique forms of intelligence and their interpretation of things based on their acquired knowledge. This variety of people makes for interesting study. I will not save proof of my findings because whatever is to be will have to be. I will however advise my friends to possibilities of future happenings and have been pretty accurate since my studies have started. There are many ways to skin a cat but in all cases the cat dies. I agree with you on your last comment, everything is probable and worth further investigation. I think even soils grow and so do rocks. Our understanding and definition of life is severely flawed, we tend to see only what we can see or want to see. I guess scientists spends too much time trying to prove things instead of running scenarios in their heads until they stumble on the truth just by using the minds power. That’s really inefficient and expensive, a little extra sugar in your coffee opens up lots of possibilities and avenues.
Hi Again:
I just wrote a long post and lost it all. Clearly I was meant to write shorter.
Alan, I avoid Religion talk because the fastest method used against us is ridicule, as in "All these alternative sciences are nothing more that uneducated religionists trying to show the earth is only 6,000 years old. Ha Ha, end of discussion. I find nothing inconsistent about the Genesis story as long as it is not taken literally. I think the Earth has its required very old age. As Koestler wrote in "The Sleepers", both Copernicus and Galileo wrote and stated that the reason they did not present their evidence was because of fear of ridicule from their scientific peers (not the church). I think the Big Bang didn’t happen (see my article 1) There are a number of believers in aether ( I being one) and see these tiny mundane particles being a source of mass increase (not accretion). The absolute best book on EE/GE is Theories of the Earth and Universe, S. Warren Carey. Brilliant. All us current EE’ers can’t hold a candle to him. I believe in Evolution, but the 2 primary tenants of Darwin are shown to be untrue. Gould’s "Punctuated Equilibrium" is evolution, but we do not understand its cause.
Mr Spencer: I am not a scientist, heaven forbid. What is a scientist? Today it has been bastardized (if it were ever clean) Today, a scientist is someone with a PHD. An exclusionary fraternity. I prefer to be a researcher, or an experimenter, or whatever, without boundaries. You are now there also. Most people are Visual. I believe the best way to get a handle on this is to stare at "something" we are not familiar with, until clarity jumps out. I suggest finding a picture of Australia, showing the Island to the north and Antarctic to the south with he underwater terrain visible. After a week you may find the trapazoid shape truly odd, the southern curve shaped similar to but more pinched than Antactica, the "square" of the Gulf of Carpentaria fitting neatly with the sqaure part of New Guinea. If you wanted you could go to my Article 2 concerning the Hoberman experiment. With that kids toy now anyone can experiment. How many scientists do I know who did? None. So the field is wide open. Being a scientist is not a help.
Ricky: Since we are not going to shut down the destructiveness of mankind (nor really be able to determine what is destructive from what is helpful) I think the best we can do as individuals is to keep silencing lies, and revealing essential truths. In that we at least advance the ball (or feel better about ourselves).
Keith
My problem is the deciphering of what people think is reality. What people percieve as bad or good is not always the same. I feel sorry for the people in Haiti but also see that that small country could not healthfully sustain all the people there. With less people there now it will increase the quality of their life somewhere down the road. So is that earthquake really good or bad? I cannot judge what is right with my small, restricted view of reality. I am starting to expand my view by studying other cultures and the views of all types of people. I find lots of interesting things in the sayings of people. Especially the info of older people who tend to repeat themselves. If you analyze what they are saying, which may be even passed down from family history, you tend to find a clue to the questions you have about what you are talking to them about somewhere in your conversation with them. Most educated people don’t really pay attention to old people because they think they know more than them. Truth is, these people had interests at times and know a lot about some things and tend to inject information shyly into a conversation somewhere where it may seem inappropriate and trailing the original conversation. They spend time trying to figure how to inject it in another conversation and it makes them look dumb sometimes. I understand this from listening to my offspring but also knew a little of the knowledge of the elders while I grew up. Schooling tried to teach me that knowledge only came from schools and that you need a degree to be an expert. These type of misled people have taken over our world, ignoring the people who have much life knowledge. Even the street people in Las Vegas have lots of knowledge but we fail to recognize what they know as having any value. I have always had an urge to try to figure out what makes people tick and have talked to all sorts of people. Sometimes all you learn is that you don’t want to be like them. There is really no right or wrong but only our perception of both. I do not wish to steal anything from others or create any harm to anyone. Most of the people around the world turn this around to meet their desires, thinking that what they percieve as right under the conditions of law is Legal. Always trust the CEO of the bank or the head of big retirement firms because they couldn’t be wrong, they are too big to screw us over and have college educations also. HA HA I have recently decided to expand my desire to not hurting any living thing unless I need to. Sometimes we cause the death of a plant or animal or our environment for our needs and that is acceptable. It’s not our needs but our wants that destroy the earth and usually hurt others. Everyone has their own little world and has their own rights as long as theirs doesn’t effect others too badly. I choose to live in the one I have created and will defend it but will not push it on others.
One more Gents:
jspencer asked:Do you have any idea of how much land mass could be added to the earth over the centuries and how it may affect the earths rotation and magnetic poles?
I’ve not presented this before, nor to my knowledge has anyone else. The size of the earth gets so mind boggling and using formula numbers get confusing so I use a number I created: 1 Billion Ton Units. This is 1 ton (2000 lbs), 1 billion times.
If we assume the Earth is enlarging by 1" in radius per year (standard assumption) at a density rate equal to the earth average (a good starting point) then the Earth will gain 7,874 Billion Ton Units per year. Yes, this will (could) destabilize the earth’s rotation over time. How much time? A spinning gyroscope will shift its rotation by moving excess weight towards its equator. Now we have Antarctica in the odd position to be heavy and yet located exactly at the Pole. The ice alone on Antarctica is estimated to be 6,000,000 Mi^3, or 2,820,000 Billion Ton Units (water being less dense than earth). Simple division then shows that in 1,000 years the Earth will gain about 3 times the mass of that ice cap. 10,000 years? 25,000? The end of the last ice age ended catastrophically and without clear cause about 12,500 years ago. Just speculation, but also just clear numbers that can be validated by anyone.
Hope this is help[ful.
Keith
If your theory is right, as the earth increases in size it would also increase in weight. This would cause an increase in gravity that would eventually cause the earth to decrease it’s size once again by pulling things together on the crust and creating denser rocks with the increased friction and gravity. Another words the plates of the earth should slip more as they do in earthquakes to make the ball the same size once again. Would this happen at the time of extreme wobble and would it happen around the world or just in certain areas where the shifting of the weight has changed? I know that if there were a lot of earthquakes at the same time as a lot of moisture was available, sinkholes and quicksand/landslides would occur for a period of time. Severe storms could also do this if they possess a lot of energy. There is also a possibility that if the polar ice melted that the earth would become rounder once again instead of being fat at the equater compared to a circle pole to pole. Ice is a crystal, and crystals have special properties with polarized electric energy. What happens to our fields if all the ice melts. It probably won’t happen in my lifetime, but may happen in the life of my grandchildren. The icecap may also shift to a different place also, the poles don’t have to reverse to straighten out our planets orbit, just move. I don’t think we can do anything about it anyway, the earth is already in a global warming cycle and it’s too late to change anything anymore, all we can do is possibly slow it down a bit if we quit everything right now. Never happen………..No use worrying about something we cannot change anymore.
The theory had been debunked long ago……..And, the evidence that WE had anything to do with the warming is really non-existent. It has been this way since the end of the Pleistocene.
Rickymouse:
No to your gravity issue. Gravity is an incredibly weak force. Gravity cannot even pull back hydrogen atoms released on the surface. You can’t get gravity to work for you, but magnetic force like a magnet to a refrigerator is much more powerful. You can feel it. With the magnet, you notice that the pulling force drops dramatically with the distance apart. Same with gravity. Distance matters. Squared. The gravity formulas everyone uses comes from Newton and these formulas assume the entire mass of a body is a point, like the exact center of the earth. A point. The gravity then is that mass as felt on the very surface of the earth. Hence, surface gravity. The formulas work and give a good result, but nobody knows what the gravity is at the center of the earth. It may well be zero, because the mass of the earth would be pulling on it in every direction. So, zero. Now, if mass is being produced within the earth, the earth will enlarge and the surface gravity will alter. How much and in what direction? That query allows one to ask, "At what density is the new earth mass forming." It could be light weight, or super dense or somewhere in between. A "What If" spreadsheet in Excel can let one vary these variables and see what best fits the fossil and other facts.
If the earth wobbled, then the poles would move to different locations. The ice moving into warmer latitudes would melt and reform in the new land moving to higher latitudes. Likely. The real issue is that the North Pole Ice is now on an ocean, and so its water weight adds to the height of the oceans. If the North Pole moved to land (off of water), then the ocean water would refreeze on land, removing itself from the ocean and dropping the ocean depth 300 ft+ (I think).
Keith
My deepest conviction is that the minds of most people have been too twisted by mainstream dogma to be any longer capable of real understanding, whether religion or science. Almost everyone has become an expert these days, but does anyone really know what these two subjects are about? I would avoid discussing religion, but have you noticed that the common perception these days is that science is a way of escaping from the bonds of superstition and myth as represented by religion, so it really isn’t possible to escape where such profound ignorance has corrupted both the origins and meanings of both. This started largely with Darwin, who promoted his theory with one side of his mouth while exclaiming the Bible to be pure myth from the other. In one sense, it ought not to be appropriate to pit the laws of a spiritual reality against the laws of a physical world, but now it is too late. We have school administrations actually promoting state sponsored porno classes (behind closed doors) at the same time they claim to be champions of science and go out of their way to make life hell for clergymen or teachers who are believers. Carl Sagan and the mainstream media popularized and deeply embedded such notions into our society, portraying atheism as the core of a high calling in scientific discovery as opposed to a belief in God as stemming from an ignorant and backward mind.
Real science, the kind where precise physical laws were found to follow rigid mathematical formulas, originated from the metaphysical underpinnings of Christian belief in divine order. No, no, it is NOT true, as many say, that these great men of old like Kepler or Newton were bullied into making pro religious stands, not at all, they were very sincere men who in many cases actually knew God and offered sincere testimony of that. If Darwin had not tied his atheistic belief to his famous speculations about biological origins, then it may have been easier to acknowledge that natural selection was one of many methods God uses to maintain balance in the natural kingdom, and left open the truth of the matter that nothing happens without involving the hand of God. And this isn’t religion at all, this is about coming face to face with a reality. You can make a mistake about the age of the earth or the meaning of the Lorentz transformations and it means very little, and you can go to church all your life and say prayers and it means nothing, but if you miss out on meeting God directly and call that foolishness and hallucination, then your mistake has eternal consequences.
Anyway, since my scientific career was cut rather short and amounted to so little, I used some of my retirement time to formulate a statistical theorem that actually improves dramatically on most of the real research being done in the world, though real research amounts to very little anymore. The gov and industry funds mostly very inflated, pompous discourse that meets its own objectives in terms of continued funding, but it’s rarely the truth. I was pleased to be able to do something that has been entirely ignored; otherwise, it wouldn’t really be worthwhile. As backwards as that seems, I’ve very much enjoyed retirement where I can make unhindered progress both towards advancing real scientific knowledge as well as getting close to God again. I first met Jesus face to face 30 years ago, but was crowded out by the thorns so to speak, but I’ve finally managed to break back through the ice before it was too late, and unless I attempt to make such things known, I’ll surely sink back again. The GE (or EE) hypothesis appeals to me, but I’m not a very good geologist beyond having learned very well that the party line is most likely a lie and that the good stuff will be found on the other side of the hill.
If this world was just held together by gravity, everything would fly off. There are a multitude of energy forces that hold things down including the forces of attraction of similar and dissimilar chemicals and metals. I never see these things ever being discussed in schools where everything is about gravity. In reality gravity is made up of multiple types of energy forces. Mass is only one, but there are aspects of mass that do not comply with our present theories. We can’t see that Newtons law is flawed, being based only on this planets observations. We then make research of other planets mass and gravity conform to our beliefs that this theory holds true everywhere. I guess it’s true that our minds can make everything we hear and see reinforce what we have knowledge of. Too bad…we are missing the boat
The Texas board that is over school books and cirriculum in the class have made in my opinion fools of themselves by trying to basically force science teachers to teach creationism as a science and ignore the difference in one being governed by set rules which serve as a constant in research parameters and the other being based on something that can be argued by every religion as having the only true answer. Science doesn`t start wars over these differences in opinion. Religion does. It all boils down to believing in your own mind that some intangible force somehow controls all that has and ever will exist. I believe religious views are best shared on another website. And on the whole global warming thing………..I believe we all know there is evidence of massive and mini ice-ages on this earth. It could be a cycle needed by the earth and caused from within or as some say it is celestial in origin. But change is inevitable I suppose.
In my experience there’s no shortage of fools on both sides of the fence, and the Scope’s trial was no different. Despite graduating at the top of my class with 8 yrs chem/biol/chem, my last job was 5 years at a school district, $8/yr. I had to attend weekly admin meetings and listen to obnoxious champions of science without any degrees brag about forcing preachers to watch their favorite pornography which they also claimed was made for use in public schools. This was taking place while the daughter of a friend of mine was raped in my building, part of a series of similar incidents that were very well covered up and denied. Unfortunately, this is the quality of public service (or if you will pubic service) that can be expected from government funded organizations, and after 50 years of battles I can tell you that religious "nuts" are nowhere near the major cause of trouble. Those who know God personally are not exempt for error, either, but they would agree with you that religion is the major source of trouble, but the real religion these days is best defined as the atheistic, arrogant, secular philosophy whose brotherhood consists of alcohol, greed, extortion and raunchy sex. These poorly educated good ole boys don’t know it, but they’re the most religious blokes on the block, and they are in fact the major cause of trouble.
Actually Alan I should have said wars are started by those in the name of religion. They take certain quotes out of context and link them all together to twist them into an excuse for thier actions. I can cut words out of magazines and paste them on paper to spell out anything I want.
A true religious text will not call for a genicide of a race. Also the rules of life in the 1st century differed greatly from what we call civilization today. Those in power would kill thier own offspring if they could be seen as a threat to thier rule. That part I hope has ceased everywhere but I doubt it.
The pornography of which you speak put out to the public and deemed acceptable is a slap to decency in my opinion. Did this take place in the twilight zone? But I agree entirely on the quality of public service. A cell phone video made by a staff member at the state youth commision facility showed how fights were set up and carried out by these youth as staff members circled around and bet on the outcome. It also came out that there was a sex ring providing service by these young boys to senior staff members. It was exposed and shown on all news channels but not enough has been done to weed out the trash. They are all appointed by the Governor who has some deep pockets.
This why I would rather think of paleontology, gardening, fishing and of course my grandson. I hope you find a way to break free from the twilight zone for good. The only real peace comes from within at the end of days for us. Enjoy life while you can. Carrying around hatred and guilt leads to an early death from the stress. The same is true for these road rage idiots. I`ll drive within the prescribed law and have no stress as I cruise along and watch the fools go by.
Good talking to you.
Yeah, for sure we agree on much. Many horrible things have been done in the name of religion, even in the name of Christ, though Christ being alive and well would have had none of that. That’s why many people hate Christianity, however that may be defined or not, even why I had to leave the states to find a good church. Well, I was from Montana, born 1948 in Missoula, and let me tell you that sheep aren’t the only critters who are nervous in that state. It was in the midst of a lot of sexual and alcohol pressures that I first met Jesus face to face in 1980. There’s no shortage of us, but getting profound results is a little bit more difficult than minute rice. I doubt that if I asked for more specifics about the age of the earth that I’d get any answers, but I do think God helped me a bit with the statistics theorem. At the time, though, He does communicate with somewhat less intensity. I’m also enjoying life a great deal, retired in the gorgeous land of Thailand, check out my Facebook photos (friend required), facebook.com/cusanus.
My older brother born in 1949 served in Vietnam also. His base (Air Force)was in Thailand. He loved it there so much he re-upped to stay living there. But duty changed and off he went to other lands. But from what he told me it must be a very nice place to live. But it also has its own very dark side as any metropolis does. I`ll send a request on Facebook to you.
Couldn`t find you on Facebook using that name you gave Alan. Send me a request to Joe Spencer
I would but three Joe Spencers pop up. I see there’s one other Alan Foos in Denver. Anyway, my moniker is cusanus, try http://www.facebook.com/cusanus
My church is the woods and lakeshores. I believe that god exists and is in everything nature makes. Some of the things man makes are part of nature, but lots of what man does destroys nature. This understanding of what is truely good or bad is very complicated. Religion keeps a group of people working at the same wavelength. By all definitions science is a religion as long as people believe in it. Governments can’t seem to control people effectively without the utilization of some sort of religion incorporated into their structure. Presently they are trying to promote green living as a way of uniting people to a common goal. Earthism is a part of religion that has ties to almost all religions. Most men cannot govern themselves and there are two many different large entities in this country competing with each other at this time which splits our nation. The only way to get our country together now is to make a highly accepted common goal as our ancestors did throughout history. Trouble is that people have gotten too independant and are only out for themselves now adays, so I don’t give a good outlook for our future. On another subject, we had another drowning at Picnic rocks in Marquette, It seems like the red flags with warning signs don’t make people any smarter. Thats four people in two months that died there. and there’s been quite a few more in the rest of the UP also. People are arguing about words. They call these longshore currents and not rip tides, we used to call it undertoe when I was young. Who cares what they call them exactly, they are all just currents that grab you and suck the strength out of you as you try to get away . I wonder what they called them 200 years ago, 500 years ago, 2000 years ago. I wonder if they argued over name changes then.
That makes sense, if you look at the thousands of photos I’ve taken in SE Asia, you’ll know that I’m mother nature’s son. But Christ is alive and well and you can meet him face to face like many who will say the same thing, and if so you’ll want friends of the same. Unfortunately, after I met Christ in 1980, I couldn’t find the right church and wasn’t well accepted. Perhaps I lost my salvation as quickly as I found it, because you can’t be born again and an island to yourself. I’m doing quite well now, though, a great church, lots of great friends, everyone of the same mind… like yesterday… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PccyJB1vIcc
I’m glad you are having a nice civil conversation, but I must ask that it stop. Religion, like Politics, is too sensitive a subject for Dinosaur Home. In addition, the rules say most comments can’t be too off topic. This is your ONLY warning. Please end the conversation on religion. Sorry, guys. :P Experience has taught me to avoid conversations like this.
A Scientist is not someone with a phD. Science comes from the Latin verb meaning "to know." A scientist is ANYONE who is curious and seeks information through organized inquiry and repeatable experimentation. I, therefore, can call myself a scientist since I use the same form of inquiry Darwin used, inductive reasoning, meaning specific to generalization.
Natural Selection is a mechanism for Evolution (which is a FACT!), yet it is not the only one.
I do again point out that Sciences can be classified as a religion under the definitions outlined by man. I know people who place it at that status in their life, but since I do not put much real faith in science so I guess it’s ok to discuss it here. We are getting a little carried away with religion discussion. There are sites that specialize in religion, this is a site for neutrality in that field. We don’t want to discourage a person from coming here because they are of different beliefs. Everyone has something to teach and also something to learn. If we think we know a lot we lose the ability to learn.
I agree totally that religion is best discussed in private if both parties are willing to do so. I can`t even agree with my own wife or brother on religious views. That is why I said I`d rather think of other things. But it has been a good healthy conversation which I`ve enjoyed. Science is just a hunt for the truth in answer to questions posed by oneself and others. So my years of genealogy research, collecting of fossils, rocks, stone tools and bones should give me more degrees than many CEO`s and Doctors. Not to mention 30 yrs in heavy construction counting for a couple of engineering degrees. I may not be just a dumb old Cajun after all huh? Life is the best teacher.
I agree. Life is the best teacher. When we finally get smart, our bodies start to fall apart. The cause is from all the dumb things we did to learn what not to do which then makes us smarter. Do you understand that Jibbish?
While dodging the complicated issue of evolution, I would disagree that Darwin’s claim to any use of inductive reasoning was scientifically legitimate, at least beyond a very short range. With 8 years academic time including intensive graduate research, my definition of inductive reasoning is far more conservative. For example, if n+1 = 2, and n+2 = 3, then n+3 should = 4. That, in fact is exactly the same reasoning that I used to prove my statistical theorem. Even in the case of numbers, it’s possible this won’t hold, but if you can easily see that no known exceptions will occur, then you have a valid proof using inductive reasoning. Now, again, not to claim it didn’t happen, but if you can demonstrate that one ape left to itself will become a man, then try it one more time with the same result, then you have a proof, at least until you can try it a few more times. Anyway, those are the kind of standards that went into my master’s thesis, anything less and I wouldn’t have argued with a failing grade for my comps.
I have read some of Darwins theories. I do not fully agree with his conclusions. I feel everything in the Universe is related somehow and believe that evolution is a known factor in the changes involved in both our appearance and mental function. At one time we may have been some sort of ape like creature but we are no longer similar to them. At what point did man become man and how and why is the important part. and this is what Darwin doesn’t address. Our ability and desire to eat different or new foods allowed us to evolve into a different creature. Each new mineral or vitamin combination caused things to happen in our bodies which caused genetic switches to change position and eventually led to our genes themselves changing over thousands of years. So what causes us to eat the right or wrong foods? What steers us in the directions we go to? Where are we heading? I see a lot of other animal characteristics in humans but we fail to recognize it because we think we are past it. Our attraction to colors and the minerals that we lack in our bodies are related. Our attraction to chemical smells and tastes varies widely throughout the human race, because we have evolved differently throughout history. Our attraction to metals themselves is a lack of minerals of a similar or substitute type in our bodies. We, for some reason, do not understand this because we are not realy as intelligent as we think we are. Some people capitalize on the knowledge of our attractions and sell us products and foods that settle these cravings temporarily. We work half our lives to get things that attract us but are not a cure for the craving because they are substitutes which do not solve the problem. If we get too much of one mineral or chemical then we need another fix for the imballance once again. This drains our wallets and makes us work more to keep the cycle moving. So what steers this evolution, I do not feel it is random. (n+1)=2 only applies if we can guarantee that n will always remain the same. By the way I read nature, N can change because of involvement of living things and our interpretation of the value of the numbers varies because the underlying concept of asigning a value to the number constantly changes. When cooking you cannot double some trecipies and have them come out as planned, so in reality numbers alone cannot predict chemical reactions and all life includes the utilization of lots of chemistry. Interpretation of knowledge is different by everyone and proof can be flawed without even knowing it. Experience is the best teacher as long as we recognize the mistakes we’ve made.
Darwins Theory or Uncle Freds and all other theories are just clues in the search. It is up to the researcher to choose what clues he will pursue further and which clues he will discard as nonsense. Some of these clues may contain half truths which also have to be sorted out. Unless something is demonstrated to have neverchanging or constant results it remains a theory. At least in my opinion it is. In my many years of ongoing genealogy work including DNA and haplotype (a sort of anthropology study to determine origin) testing I have run across countless people with wrong information who will swear by it and it is all exactly the same info. One such person sported her PHD proudly publishing her works and claiming a large victory in breaking down our brick wall. Only when many of us had documentation to debunk her findings did she finally disappear, but her poison is sworn to be true by many who read it. 10 years later it is still going strong. I prefer to have proof in documents from that date and location before I believe it. Until then I have my theories on it all too but no way to prove it. Theory is supposed to be a conclusion reached and defended by an educated person. Darwin was that. He is not here to defend his findings against our questions so who is willing to do so? Not me. He may be as nutty as the person I was speaking of with her worthless book. More hteories on mans origin will be posed but will it ever be proven? Good luck with that.
I have included in my studies the strange reason why most people will believe someone with a degree or certification before a person that has life experience even though what the certified person says is completely wrong. It seems to me that what is being revered is the persons confidence in his beliefs and the belonging to a specialized organization. I am a licensed builder and see that organizations and even the state push the fact that licensed builders are better than handimen. I know that this is not true and know that just because you pass a test it doesn’t make you experienced or honest. I was also a certified mechanic many years ago and a licensed real estate sales person a while back. I use this knowledge to make sure I don’t get taken. I have much experience in many fields, but know that there is always going to be someone better than me at what I get good at. My experience has been that it is not who people usually think it is. Sometimes an employee of a company makes the company excell, but the employee does not want to get involved in a business of his own, prefering just to work for another who treats him fairly. I have seen this on numerous occasions and customers use this company only because of the quality of the employees. The company crumbles upon the leaving of the employee that made it sometimes if the owner cannot find a comparible substitute. Was Darwin right? I think a lot of what he said was true, but he failed to adress some things that contradicted his research also, leaving half truths. I don’t know what happened, and I don’t really care. I worry more about what is coming in the future because of our disrespect for our environment. We see only small parts of this disrespect and people don’t understand the magnitude of it. what we see is such a small part of it and it’s happening everywhere now, everyone has forgotten the teaching of their ancestors. Our ancestors through history have destroyed their environments at times and adopted practices like making things sacred so people know not to cut all the trees and stuff like that. The English incorporated tea to kill the poluted water, and other parts of europe used alcohol for water purification. They drank wine in the bible probably because of poluted water supplies and I’m sure the chinese had their treatment. I think we should use this history to examine our practices and blessings in our lives. It seems no one researched history other than what we were taught in school or just didn’t pay attention.
I am sure glad I found these rocks in my yard. It has gotten me looking at patterns and reasons once again, something I am exceptionally good at. I have finally started studying the effects of everything on health and mentality of humans as related to genetics, something that I have been too busy for in the past because I worked to much. I have a problem with communicating big words in writing, I know what they mean and use them in speach but do not know how to spell them. Others I read and understand but do not know how they are pronounced because of different pronounciation in different societies. I know that most people avoid these words because of unsurity and this is socially acceptable in the real world. I have no reason to learn their spelling either, why would I want to impress or belittle others anyway. People in my world, the one containing my friends and relatives, don’t use them much here and avoid those using them. So who would think you could learn so much from rocks.
Some good observations, Rick. One thing I want to mention, however, is that the use of wine in the Bible has only one and a very explicit purpose other than the ordinary general use as a beverage, but the blood is the principle meaning in that context; it is a symbol for the blood of Jesus Christ. It was taken with bread, which was the symbol for the flesh of Jesus Christ. "Unless you drink the blood of the Son of Man and eat his flesh, you have no life in you." This also is the monthly church ritual known as communion. Although to most people this seems very odd and is taken to be nothing but a ceremony, it is a very literal fact. The ceremony is an affirmation by a believer who probably has first hand experience with this fact and understands its meaning because he has met God in the spiritual dimension. Some people take communion without realizing that the spiritual dimension is literal. For them, there is no life, but they don’t know that.
The textbooks of history today are so polluted by special interest groups it`s a wonder they learn anything that actually happened in the past. It`s been rewritten so as to please all of the whiners from each race who feel they didn`t have a prominent mention in every chapter of World, American and State History. All Mayan written history was ordered destroyed by Roman Catholic rulers as they tried to conquer and convert anyone possible. To believe differently than them was not tolerated. Let`s not let that happen here.
I know you get excited about spreading your faith Alan but please keep the religious talk down. We can’t discourage people of other faiths from coming here. This is a Paleontology and fossil site. Even though we get off topic all the time around here a specific religion is not supposed to be discussed.
Ricky, this has nothing to do with faith, and I’m not excited. You made a lengthy post weaving through a lot of territory. One of your statements was your notion that wine in the Bible was used due to polluted water. On the contrary, there’s no evidence that there was a pollution problem back then, and the entire book is written around the them of wine signifying the blood of Jesus. This is just a statement of fact that I thought would enlighten you, it has nothing to do with what anyone actually believes or what cause is worthy of subscription. I would only hope, partner, that you would appreciate being better informed. I might have commented on some of your other points, but in the interest of keeping things brief and to the point…
I am refering to the fact that the Italians had a few uses for wine in the past. first for a drink that would kill bacteria within itself and second for the creation of an enzyme needed by the liver to insure good health. I see a similarity in all regions in the area with wine use. I am going much more indept than just the study of antioxidents, identifying which are needed in creation of cystein and carnitine and others with respect to liver function and the tie in with the ATP in our bodies cells. Wine can work especially if incorporated with the sulphonyl group. To make it simple, eat spagetti with garlic bread and a glass of wine. Our ancestors knew a lot more about the preparation of food and the alchemy of cooking than we give them credit for. Finns used similar but different alchemy for their survival. We would never have survived this long if our ancestors just ate what tasted good. They were extremely intelligent but didn’t seem to want more than they needed, at least the regular people. We have disreguarded their teaching for the belief that new science is better, but fail to realize that alchemic recipies are genetic specific. The bible is a good source of reference of many things, including use of wine in daily living in that time period. There are many more references from other writings that I could also reference. Some used beer or fermented apple cider the same way. I find that religion used writings and sayings to make sure that their people stayed healthy. One is the the fasting at different parts of the year when it’s necessary to cleanse the body of toxins. I know well of the significance of wine in the scriptures. Things can have more than one purpose though. Surprisingly deer, bear, and other animals need fermenting fruits or certain grains for a similar but slightly different purpose. I wonder if dinosaurs ate fermented fruit for their health.
Ok, well, I have 8 years university (internationally recognized for scientific research) in math/biology/chemistry, 2 chem minors, BA Botany, MS Soils/chemistry, magna cum-laude (3.84), with three years graduate level physiology, statistical design and pure research. I have 30 more years experience in detox and nutrition, the last five including intensive personal research involving 12,000 parents whose children, like my own, were damaged from vaccinations over the denials of the medical industry and government, and have helped some of them recover while watching others die. Garlic is good stuff, bone up on B vitamins, ALA, DMSA and magnesium citrate and you’ll be arming yourself against serious trouble and still be in top physical and mental condition at my age. I’m talking the real deal here, the difference between life as a vegetable and an active, athletic, joyful existence. As for the Bible being a good reference on the nutritional value of wine or garlic, I’m just now finishing another thorough pass through the OT (I’m on Isaiah 31) and have read the NT more times than I could count, and I see nothing in there that could be used for such references. The purpose of the Bible has nothing to do with nutrition or geology, and the only mention of wine other than warnings against recreational use are its symbol for the blood of Christ. The word garlic occurs only once in the Bible, Numbers 11:5, "We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick: But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes." The point of the verse has to do with gratitude.
Hmmm. I have been trying to regenerate my liver because of 5 years of taking medicines to treat epilepsy which I was allergic to. I’m still alive, I think, but have acquired some liver problems. I inherited two autoimmune diseasees, possibly recessive genes but now active which make me reject all long term drug uses. My father tried to teach me things when I was young with special things involving diet and I am trying to recall all the things he said and cross referencing them to different genetic problems known of. He knew of the prevention but not what the name of the genetic problems were, at that time science wouldn’t have even known that either. I have recently started using milk thistle extract and started eating more liver products. One of the problems I have is processing the acetaldahyde in the liver, and the enzyme needed can be acquired from properly prepared liver and in lesser concentrations in red meat. I may not be able to regenerate the liver but may be able to control things. Do you have any other suggestions for liver regeneration? I have read the bible extensively and have learned much from it. Some because I needed something to do during the long sermons in church and some just to acquire the knowledge to keep my mothers overzelious religious tactics controlled. my mother understood the words, which can and have been interpreted in many different ways, but not the underlying philisophy of the whole book. When having a mother who in the past was a regional manager of Stanley home products, then organized many with Amway and Distributed Deco plants and excelled in christmas around the world product sales, you can imagine how she did with religion. She was good hearted, a little pushy, but was a good mother and friend to many people. She was always disappointed that she couldn’t sell me anything. Since you have much knowledge, Do you have any suggestions for liver regeneration?
Yah, I know we’re not suposed to speak of god here. Trouble is even the word Yah means god somewhere.
You’re in luck, Ricky. Yes, I have a 3 (or 4) ingredients that have brought about full liver recovery in as little as 3 days, though I’ve combined them all into a 10-14 day treatment that I used for good purpose. I’ll send more details later today, because I just got out of bed and, well, I won’t say more about that. There’s a hospital in Russia that uses a similar approach using silymarin for amanita poisoning and has had zero deaths over 60 cases. Silymarin is usually used for recovery from alcholism and has been long used for liver regeneration. Extremely large doses of vitamin C have also cured advanced liver disease in short periods (emphasis on large amounts). Use of ALA has done the same, so my method uses all 3 at once.
So wait until later today, I’ll send more details. Meanwhile, forget about the Bible for nutrition, that’s for getting to know God, which I’m pretty sure your mother never figured out. She was what you call a huckster, no offense, a mover and a shaker but a hustler, she wasn’t born again and didn’t know God as he really is, but I’m not always right, so don’t take any offense. I have this special formula for fast liver recovery because despite being a good biologist I made a very serious mistake and at three Trachoides clarkeinda mushrooms which are usually fatal. They are vicious, 8 members in my village died within a few hours the previous year from eating them at a party.
Within an hour I’d turned into a human fire hose at both ends, I was lying out on the lawn and the village ladies drug me to the hospital. I already figured that if I let them near me I’d be wearing someone else’s liver, so I gagged all over the floor while refusing to let them near me. When I left, my blood pressure was 56/55, as close to death as you can get. With death angels, you’ll recover and then likely died 5-10 days later anyway from liver failure, so as soon as the stores opened I went and got these three things. I know they were working because I stopped on the sixth day and immediately started getting very ill again, and when I started again I recovered fine, seemed to take about 14 days. Trachoides isn’t amanita, though, most everyone dies within a few hours instead of 6-10 days later. There’s a fourth ingedient that I couldn’t find, so I won’t mention that one, but later today I’ll try to give you some better ideas on dosages, this for 10-14 days, but a few other suggestions…
Ricky, if you’re a regular drinker, I tell you, you must stop drinking, period. It just isn’t good for a person, and it’s hell on the liver. This liver recovery procedure may well entirely cure a diseased liver, even in a short period, and if you can afford it, you can stop for a month and then do it again in repeated cycles, but if you don’t remove the source of any toxins that harmed the liver in the first place, then you can’t expect good results. If you have any amalgams, get those replaced asap, the med/gov is lying about the mercury not leaking, my kidneys were bleeding every day six years ago until I replaced them. Also, for long term health in this day of processed foods, GMO and iatragenic medicine, a daily intake of large doses of B vitamins is recommended, as large an amount as your wallet can afford, and 3-4 grams magnesium (not oxide form, but magnesium citrate works well) if it doesn’t loosen your digestion up too much.
Okay, that really is most all you need to know, but I’ll make a post later today and try to peg the dosages for ALA and silymarin a little better. I do remember that for the 14 days following my mushroom screw up that I took 50 grams of vitamin C per day. Yeah, a lot, and I wouldn’t be afraid to do that every day of my life if my wallet didn’t complain, and going heavy on supplements is a pain, anyway. In Thailand I take about 3 grams maintenance vitamin B per day, some magnesium citrate, and just chow down on all the wonderful fruits and vegetables that are so abundant here.
I only drink a couple times a year and only have a couple when I drink. I no longer take the medications that caused the problems. I broke 16 teeth in three years, some more than once, either from the medicine or the epilepsy so I chose to have them removed and have dentures that I never use. I saved the auto insurance company 7 grand over fixing them in the end with 13 crowns needed in the last year. No mercury in my mouth anymore and head seems clearer for thinking without those fillings.
Raptor, let me make the call on this. I’ve just given a man who has been suffering with liver trouble the very best advice he will ever get, not only consistent with 8 years of top university academic background, but with 30 more years of practical personal experience, including intensive involvement in similar issues with other people and their children, some of whom have thanked me profusely for positive results. The same goes for many of the other comments I’ve made, which are statements of fact and not proselytizing. You go ahead and loathe my attitude, Einstein, but I suggest you as well learn to respect your elders as well as the hard won achievements and sacrifices of those who bother to share them. Meanwhile, I’d very much appreciate it if you did ban me, as nothing could be more insulting than the statement you’ve made. I’ve told Ricky enough, he’s an intelligent man and can fill in the missing pieces. If you’d be so kind then as to ban me, we won’t have to waste internet bandwidth by bouncing notices from my email, unless the unsubscribe button takes care of that. Meanwhile, anyone interested in private communication can use cusanusnicolas@yahoo.com

I`m not a religious person by any means but enjoyed the conversation. Religion and scientific theories are the same to me. My approach is "prove it". I don`t know if any of you watch "The Naked Archealogist" on the History Channel. It follows the history of man as evidenced in remains unearthed mostly in the Middle East that are written in that book. Some evidence seems to verify and some of it questions the stories. Great show I think. Evidence analyzed has shown that not just opium was used in medicine but cannabis was also consumed regularly for treatment as well as cerimonial uses in the 1st century and before. Fruit was for food and leaves were for medicine. Researchers following the diet using herbs and fruits of those days showed an increase in thier immune system abilities. There`s something to that. We were well medicated in the 70`s.
I believe it has been meds that have caused my teeth to quickly die also. Just a little present from a wayward surgeon causing me to have nerve damage. And the replacement parts are not as good as original equipment. I`m getting dentures soon myself. Going for impressions next week.
I read an article on Sciencedaily.com about the Nubians making antibiotics almost two thousand years ago. They put it in beer and knew it’s properties. I wonder if medicine caused their extinction by screwing up their immune system or if their people are still around. What happened to this knowledge for 1500 years, why was it discarded?
On the subject of the earths gravity, the moon is not only responsible for our ocean tides but also slows down the earths rotation greatly. If something were to happen to our moon we would all be in for it. We have shaken the earth to the core by underground nuclear bomb explosions testing weapons. I feel that it will have dire effects on our planet. I hope that they don`t start doing such test on the moon testing new space weaponry. Without the moon the earth would rotate at 3 times its normal speed. This I think would cause a shift in plates and we would have continents colliding causing massive upheavals of rock. The landscape and climate would change and volcanoes would spew out clouds of poison. And maybe someday we will be unearthed as fossils by those that inhabit earth.
You know they’re going to try something stupid someday. They already crashed a spaceship into it to see how we’de react to their wasting money.
