Dear All, When I get some strange messages with large attachments, I use to forward it to the office where there is a strong and updated antivirus (MacAfee). One friend told me he does the same posting them to his hotmail address. THAT'S A GOOD WAY TO TEST FOR VIRUS! Recently I get 2 messages! The subjects look like geology-related: - 'dip west at' - 'AND PALAEOGEOGRAPHIC' I can't remember (or trace) who was supposedly sending them (next time I'll take care if it can help) but since the subjects are geology-related I wanted to warn you all! In any case, never open an attachment! Cheers, Bruno

Hi Bruno and All,

I ws surprised to have the SnowWhite virus from HAHAHAHA making second rounds. A couple of people I correspond with on the paleo groups have recieved it, too. The hotmail as filter sounds like a good idea, thanks, I know it is hard to resist opening some strange email if it appears to be a topic which interests you.

IF YOU ARE USING OUTLOOK EXPRES, YOU CAN USE 'MESSAGE RULES' and ask for no download from the server of files larger than 100KB for instance (the virus attachment I get are more than 150K

Since Hotmail doesn't seem to have regular updates of MacAfee, the latest virus was passing the filter.

Be clever! Regards
