Hey if you mean "mammal" as in warmblooded synapsid and not just sticking to Eutherians, then one of the baddest muthers would have been Inostrancevia. As far as largest+dangerous+lethal, you would have had Machairodon giganteus, Amphicyon g. and Arctodus simus. You want to know the largest land mammal predator(so far we know), you probably mean a mammal...(synapsid - forget them being "reptiles", all groups have scales and being coldblooded is a widespread thing, look at bones, genes, adaptations and youll see Dimetrodon was a scaly, cool blooded mammal/also crocs and their guts compared to guts+ of birds and snakes/lizards/turtles makes crocs look like coldblooded birds on the inside-sorry for the rant)...who KILLS for a living, then id say tossup between Dinohyus and Megisto. 3+ foot head and catlike body...jeeeezuz, but that pig too....size of a bull with a t.rex head. Wrong. The Blue Whale is the largest animal to have ever existed. Plus the Arctodus is still the most badass, because it could've easily run circles around the Andrewsarchus and Megistotherium.
